Overview
PolicySafe is a mobile-first insurance policy management app designed to help individuals in India track, renew, and claim their insurance policies from a single dashboard. The existing process was fragmented — users juggled multiple insurer apps, paper documents, and phone calls. I designed the complete UX/UI from scratch to create a unified, trustworthy experience.

Problem Statement
Insurance policyholders in India had no single place to view all their active policies, track claim status, or get renewal reminders. Users reported high anxiety around missed renewals and opaque claim processes.
Research & Discovery
Conducted 15 user interviews and a competitive analysis of 6 insurance apps (HDFC Life, LIC, PolicyBazaar). Key insights: users wanted simple language (not jargon), clear claim timelines, and push-notification reminders 30/15/7 days before renewal.
Design Process
User Journey Mapping — Mapped 5 core journeys: onboarding, policy view, claim filing, renewal, and document upload.
Information Architecture — Designed a flat, tab-based structure for quick access without deep navigation.
Wireframing — 40+ screens wireframed in low-fidelity before moving to high-fidelity.
Visual Design — Created a trust-driven UI using blues and whites, card-based layouts, and human photography.
Prototype & Test — Tested with 18 users using Figma prototype; iterated on claim flow based on confusion hotspots.
